Unleash your creativity with our 6 week Wheel & Hand Building class for beginners at Tasman Clayworks. Learn the foundations of pottery and get hands-on experience with our expert instructors. To book into one of our classes, please email us at tamanclayworks@hotmail.com and get ready to dive into the art of ceramics. We teach you the very basics in hand building and also on the pottery wheel. Included: 2 hours per week of tuition over 6 weeks, use of studio tools and equipment. You will learn some technics on a pottery wheel and start off making small bowls, plates and cylinders. Once you have gained some experience you can move on to make cups and larger items, but please allow time and lots of practice. Please note: firing and glazes are not included and are an additional cost as you go. Glazes can be purchased on line or at many pottery supplies. We stock stoneware speckled clay. Bring along a towel and apron. Our class numbers are kept small so we can provide you with the individual knowledge. Please contact us for class availability dates.
